Tent London!

November 05, 2012 Andy Murray

Its over a month since Tent London ( part of London Design Festival and I am not sure where the time has gone since the show. The show was a hive of great design, with over 20,000 visitors it was busy! Met some lovely people - exhibitors, visitors and organisers and 1 rather unhelpful UPS delivery driver who dumped all my new products on the pavement outside at 8.30am as he "didn't do stair".

Boxes before unpacking

Everyone finds set up at exhibitions exhausting, yes it is, but its exciting to see so many fantastic new products. This year I was showcasing the new aluminium "42 Range" for Pride & Joy Furniture (, it had been months in manufacture, refining, tweeking, picking colours, testing and all made on our doorstep in Britian (well Scotland to be exact). After years of searching its great when you finaly find manufacturers you can rely on and are able to just "pop in" to check how things are progressing.

Met so many other great designers and the "blog tour team" thanks to Veronika at Modenus ( Finaly got to put people to tweeters and bloggers - Igor: happyinteriorblog, Arianna : AriannaInteriors, Andrew Dunning : APD Interiors, Hannah : Dreamwalls, Will : BrightBazzaar

Here are some images of some other designers I met at Tent:

Left to right : Melanie Porter, Roussel, Gareth Batowski, Zoe Murphy

Left to Right : Anthony Hartley, tamasine osher, Liam Treanor, Sebastian Cox, Mini Moderns

Other Favourites of the show included lights by Piers Saxby Candy Studio, Wallpaper by Laura Felicity, Cushions by SJ Guest

Technicolour Cushions by Room39, Lampshades and rugs by Parris Wakefield Additions

There were many many more exciting designers, but these were a few that caught my eye! Check them out and enjoy.
